Outback - Brown Olive

I could lay it on really thick here, but I’ll save us all time: I am picky and need a size 14, so I order 6 pairs of shoes online and return 5. My Outback sneakers exceed expectations. They’re comfortable AF, construction is great and they look killer. The customer service I received from the staff at RO was THE BEST. Real people, calling you back on a real telephone and doing far more than they needed to to make me a happy, loyal customer.

I’ve spent years looking for a boot that checked all the boxes: durable, comfortable, stylish yet casual, not $300. I am now about to purchase my 4th pair. I will never own another everyday shoe/boot for as long as these are made. They check every box I was looking for. My first pair was $120 so I was bummed to see the $30 increase but still worth every penny.

First, they are really nice boots and comfortable.

However, the breaking in process hurts like **** and the design flaw it has is the back center for your heel, it has a seem that will eat into your heels as long as you wear the boots. So be cautious. I can’t wear them and will throw them away.

These shoes are clearly made for going out on the town and then sitting in the closet until the next time out. Within 2 weeks of regular wear the heel on the inside had completely disintegrated. Now not even a year in of wearing them hiking or working in a warehouse they are falling apart at the seams literally. The soles are about to fall off. They look great but dont last. The insole that comes with them might as well be a piece of cardboard. Zero cushion at all. For the price I expected much better. I changed the insoles and continued wearing them but ill be lucky to get another month from them.

Overall, these boots deliver on looks, comfort, and reliability. Easily a five-star choice if you want something stylish that can also hold up to real use.

Quality, excellent. Fit is narrow. I took them to cobbler to stretch them. The tie box definitely isnt wide, if you’re looking for room for your ties these probably arent for you.

I've been wearing the new Outbacks every day for a couple weeks now and they are fantastic. They were good right out of the box and I can already tell they are only getting better as they break in. Materials and build are high quality. These are my first pair of Ridgemont, but they won't be my last.

I wore these high tops hiking in the European alps summer of 2025 and they were amazing! Did over 25 miles several days with maximum comfort. Highly recommend these shoes.
