It's true that the Monty is inspired by the light hikers of the 80s, but we wouldn't go so far as to call it a retro style. We've built the Monty on a slim, modern last, we utilize top quality materials, and state of the art manufacturing processes to make them. However, they do have definite analog aesthetic about them. We love the proportions and simplicity of the pattern which mask the real light-hiker abilities we've built in. The exposed EVA midsole cushions every step while the TP heel clip keeps you locked in.

Very comfortable

Disappointed

I’ve owned two of the Monty’s, and absolutely loved them. They had a sole problem… with a little bit of glue they were perfect shoes. And then they were out of stock and I couldn’t buy them for a while …much anticipated…but on the new model, it seems like they fixed the sole problem! However, the shoe itself is wider and there’s some strict support problem from toes following all the way up the laces. The don’t feel good. At all.

I’ve worn them three times with the total of 9 miles and I cannot wear these shoes again. I feel like I broke bones in my foot. I expect someone to reach back to me.

Super comfortable. Boots fit true to size. I wear a size 11 in sneakers and the size 11 in these fit perfect.

Great Hybrid

Have been super impressed with these, very lightweight, grippy and will fit a lot of types of outfits - bars, outdoor work, and office for me. Will definitely be looking towards Ridgemont for my next pair of footwear. My only wish is that there was a waterproof option, especially with the latest weather in the northeast.

Kept my feet dry

I went in not really knowing what to expect and ended up enjoying it way more than I thought I would. Comfortable, good for all conditions. For our rainy climate the shoes kept my feet dry. Highly recommended

Great shoe

The shoe feels great out of the box. Only thing I don't like about them is the lace hooks, but that is my personal preference.
