This is my second pair of Monty Lo's. I own four pairs of Ridgemont shoes — two Monty Lo's and two Outback II's — and they are some of the most comfortable shoes I have owned or currently own. On the sizing, I have tried both 11.5 and 12 sizes, and they have fit just fine. I typically wear either size, depending on the shoe manufacturer; for example, I wear a 11.5 in Vans shoes. So, sizing probably depends more on whether you have a narrow or wide foot. Regardless, these are some great shows and I highly recommend them!
Sized up based on the recommendation. Fits great. Decided to try these out as my designated boot for riding my motorcycle. Leather provides a nice barrier on the toe for endless up shifts. Boot is high enough to protect the ankle. Laces up high enough as well. While not intentionally decided as a motorcycle boot, 600miles in and its holding up really well. If a future model did have some additional toe box padding that would awesome
So far these have exceeded my expectations, very comfortable and durable. Glad I ordered 1/2 size up, plenty of room in the toe box. I will definitely be ordering again in the future.

These shoes are great casual shoes with good support. But I still feel grounded instead of walking on pillows where balance feels precarious. Love that about them.
